The Jammers flew out of the blocks with Danny Parish opening the scoring after just six minutes.
They went on to have the better of the first half, but had just that early strike to their name at the interval.
Parish was the man on the mark again with ten minutes to go, though, as he doubled the Jammers' advantage.
And the win was assured when Hanza Kaid, introduced from the bench, made it three with six minutes to go.
It didn't go all the Jammers' way though, as Quba Gordon was sent off with three minutes to go and Soham also grabbed a late consolation goal.
But a good three points to start the season with!
