Maldon & Tiptree FC have joined forces with Chelmsford College to launch a new football academy, and together they are on the look out for players aged 16+ to claim a chance to train with top coaches to develop their game whilst achieving a variety of educational qualifications to help back up their careers.

The setup follows on from a successful period of six seasons where Chelmsford City FC and Chelmsford College were crowned National Youth Alliance regional champions three times, and where seventeen scholars made senior first team debuts, and 2 players moving on to sign professional contracts with Championship clubs.

The coaching staff includes Stuart Slater and Kirk Game, and as former professional players and highly qualified coaches they are best placed to help any aspiring young players climb the football ladder.

Whilst on the scheme players have the chance to gain a variety of qualifications, and they include: BTEC in Sport & Exercise Science, Sports Coaching Apprenticeships, Public Services, and Business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any players wishing to develop their game and move through the ranks, and both the Club and College are looking forward to a bright and prosperous future.
