Returning striker, Brad Hunter has recently spoken to Webmaster, Richard Buckby...

Brad, you're slowly coming back in to squad following your injury. How is your knee now?

It's been a long 6 months, but my knee is now 100% and I am hoping to slowly, start playing more and more minutes for the team and helping to get 3 points any way I can.

You finished last season as the club's top scorer, what are your hopes for the rest of the season?

Well, to finish the club's top scorer this season will be a tough ask, but I'm hoping to get on the score-sheet a few times from now until the end of the season.

Obviously, we have struggled this season in comparison to the last two seasons. What do you think has been different this season to last?

Yes, we have struggled this season but you can only focus on the season in hand and unfortunately this season we have used over 50 players , and most of which have been and out of the squad all season.

A change of management has obviously thrown a spanner in the works as well. So them factors have not helped the club's fortunes, this season but however next season, I think it will be completely different as we now have a very good core to the team.

Your younger brother, Mitch has been magnificent in recent weeks. What do you put this improvement down too?

I know that Mitch is an amazing talent, but I think that Alan and Anwar have really helped him develop as a player and a man because they believe in him and believe in his talent. Mitch is learning all the time, like us all, but I do think a lot of his recent form is thanks to Alan and Anwar.

You joined the club from Burnham Ramblers, mid way through last season. If they do get relegated this season, what do you think that will you do Burnham, as a football club overall?

I'm hoping that Burnham do not go down because of how hard we worked to get them promoted when I was at the club. Plus having friends that still play for them I would not want to see them relegated.

Unfortunately, if they did get relegate and looking at the strength of the Essex Senior League, I think they would struggle to come back up straight away.

You joined the club under Terry Spillane and you haven't played much under Alan. What has changed behind the scenes since Alan joined the club?

Well obviously, I have been injured all season which is why I haven't played. Behind the scenes, it has changed a lot as there is a lot of new players within the squad and there is now new banter.

I feel that off the field, the club is very professional and now things are being done the right way. We just need to take it to the pitch and be more consistent.

Terry has recently been appointment the new manager of Thamesmead Town, what do you make of that appointment?

Well to be honest, I do not know a lot about Thamesmead as a club, but I know that Terry has a fantastic CV at our level, so potentially he could achieve big things at the club.

Lastly, during your time at the club what has been your most memorable goal and why?

My favourite goal? Well I could be very, very 'busy' and say every goal is as important as the others.

However, my favourite goal has to be the one against Heybridge Swifts. A local derby, I fancied a go from the halfway line with my 'weaker' foot and in it went straight in to the net. But, let's not forget the celebration: the knee slide and the bundle in front of their dugout has to be my favourite celebration to date.

But overall, let's keep our fingers crossed for many more goals from me for the Jammers. I think that if we do not manage promotion this year then we will certainly be up there in and amongst the promotion chasers next season!
