Match Introduction:
The Jammers begin life under new boss, Kevin Horlock at home on the opening day of the season against Essex rivals, Brightlingsea Regent.

Maldon do not have the best head-to-head record against Regent, having lost three league games and winning one, the Jammers win was the last competitive game between the two sides back in February 2016.

Managed by James Webster, Brightlingsea visit Park Drive with several new faces to their playing squad as they look to cement a play-off position come April 2017. Webster also has several ex Maldon & Tiptree players in his squad including Matt Cripps and Aaron Condon.

It has been a positive pre-season for Horlock’s Maldon side, having secured the majority of last season squad; there have also been several new additions. However, Horlock is without Curtis Haynes-Brown who hasn’t featured for The Jammers since picking up an injury against Colchester United in our first pre-season fixture, Darren Mills is also extremely doubtful for the league opener against Brightlingsea as he also has not appeared since the Colchester game due to injury.
