Match Introduction:
The Jammers travel to league newcomers, Norwich United for one of their longest journeys of the season after Kevin Horlock’s first competitive game in charge ended in a 2-1 win against Essex rivals, Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday 13 August.

The Planters also enjoyed their opening league game of the season, by travelling to Great Wakering Rovers and beating them by three goals to one, thanks to goals from Jamie Speller, Shaun Wones & Adam Hipperson.

Last season, Norwich United dominated the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division, winning a total of 32 games throughout the whole season, it was the second year on the spin that the Planters had been crowned Champions, however they voted against promotion in the 2014/15 season.

The Jammers will complete the 172 mile round trip high in confidence, following the opening day of the season and will be boosted by the return of Tarryn Allarakhia who returns after missing Saturday’s game due to a knee injury.

Statistics:
- It will be the first competitive match between Norwich United and The Jammers.
- If club captain, Gavin Greenfield starts for Maldon & Tiptree it shall be his 75th start for The Jammers.
- If Rhys Henry makes an appearance for The Jammers, it will be his 50th league appearance for the club.
