Jammers boss Kevin Horlock had to again shuffle his line up with Sam Newson missing because of injury, he recalled Adam Mills for his first start for a little while. Named on the substitutes bench was new signing Eoin McKeown.
This was an important match for both teams with Maldon and Tiptree leading the league and Cheshunt flying high in second place and the game started at a fast pace with the home side soon putting in a typical fast passing move between Tarryn Allaraakhia, Rhys Henry and Liam Nash that only ended with Nash just over running the ball as he moved in on goal before Cheshunt immediately responded with Jason Hallett seeing his shot saved by home keeper Daniel Wilks. The Jammers Nash then put Adam Mills (pictured) through on goal but his low shot from the edge of the area was comfortably saved by visiting keeper Michael Gooch then Cheshunt's Luke Marshall hit a fierce strike from 25 metres that flew just past the far post. Cheshunt took the lead after 26 minutes when overlapping full back Joe Clemo got on the end of Luke Marshall's forward pass and he pulled the ball square to Jason Hallett for him to hit a good first time low strike into the net from 15 metres.Stung by this reverse the home side applied pressure on the visitors defence with another good passing move that eventually got the ball into Mills in a good position in front of goal but he put his hurried effort over the bar before Nash put a 22 metre free kick just over the bar. The deserved equaliser duly came after 33 minutes when Nash's strong half volley was just turned round the post by Gooch and from the resultant corner kick the ball was played out to Adam Mills who controlled well before picking his spot with a clean strike into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area. The home side were then denied a second goal with a close offside decision after Nash had rolled the ball into an empty net before the same player's tenacious play won him the ball from a visiting defender but from a narrow angle he then curled his shot just wide of the far post.

The home sides Allarakhia started the second half strongly with a great ball in that flashed across the visitors goal area with no one able to get a touch before at the other end Cheshunt's Adam Bolle was just denied by Kyle Hammond's last ditch tackle when the forward seemed clear on goal. On 55 minutes the Jammers moved into the lead with another well worked goal as the ball was moved swiftly through a number of players before Kyle Hammond was put through to beat the advancing Gooch with a low strike. The home defence was putting in a fine performance to deny the visitors potent attack any real goal scoring openings with just a handful of corner kicks and crosses threatening the home goal. The visitors Joe Kizzi put a header just over the bar, before on 64 minutes the home side virtually put the game to bed when Allarakhia showed tremendous ball control to go past a number of tackles before hitting a fierce shot into the roof of the net. Two more fine moves from the home side saw Mills only denied by the by the out stretched boot of Gooch then a sequence of passes down the length of the field ended with Matt Lock's shot being saved. Late pressure from the visitors saw substitute Darrelle Russell cross for fellow substitute Billy Jones to head wide before Jones got a dangerous ball over but no visiting forward was up to take advantage. The icing on the cake was provided after 89 minutes when home substitute Eoin McKeown won possession then put Mills away down the line before he squared the ball perfectly for Rhys Henry to seal his man of the match performance with a measured strike to score a fourth goal for the home side.
