Jammers Held At Home
Maldon & Tiptree came from behind at home against a physical Ware side to share the points on a blustery day.
On a windy day at Park Drive both sides battled hard in extremely difficult conditions.
The first half was an evenly contested affair with neither Goalkeeper being forced in to anything to strenuous. However, The Jammers did manage to pick up three yellow cards, one for George Forrest, Ryan Gondoh and Dom Kurasik for failing to allow Ware to take a quick free-kick.
Maldon's danger man, Gondoh was proving to be a real threat running from deep positions. The Jammers felt hard done-by as Gondoh was persistently fouled without the Referee being able to stamp down on Ware's robust attitude, with Gondoh luckily escaping without a serious injury.
Half Time: Maldon & Tiptree 0 - 0 Ware
Ware started the second half on the front foot. Yannick Kamanan gave Ware the lead after a ball was laid back to the edge of the box and drilled his shot straight past a helpless Kurasik in goal. Sparked in to action, The Jammers responded in a good fashion. As he has done several time this season, Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe broke his way in to the box and trickled his way past the defender who had no option but to foul him and gift Maldon with a penalty. Ogedi-Uzokwe picked himself, to take the penalty, the Ware Goalkeeper managed to just get a hand to it, however it was not enough to keep it out of the night.
As Maldon continued to search for a winner, the wind continued to affect the match and both clubs side continued to battle without too much success as the game drifted away with the wind to finish with both sides taking a point each.
