Q: Kieran, you've started your second season with us now and you've now played over 50 appearances for the club. How have you found your time at the club so far?
A: It's been very challenging, coming into this sort of environment is difficult if you've never played in it before. I can actually say I've enjoyed the experience so far, good group of players & a generally warm feeling around the club.
Q: You've scored a few goals for the club, is there one in particular that sticks out in your mind?
A: One that sticks out vividly in my mind is the one I scored right at the beginning of last season against Phoenix Sports. Going on a solo run to clinch the 3 points for the team.
Q: We have had a mixed start to the season, with two wins and one loss so far. What have you made to our start?
A: The start we've made has been challenging. Besides the Norwich United game, I think we've performed well in all matches. A solid performance against Ware FC showed exactly what we're capable of when we are all at our best.
Q: There has been a lot of talk about promotion for The Jammers this season, do you think it's a realistic target for the club?
A: Without a doubt, we were on a high at the end of last season & just missed out on the play-offs. We have a similar squad if not better than last season so there is no doubt we can go all the way.
Q: You joined us from the professional industry, do you have aspirations to return to the professional set-up at some stage in your career?
A: Yes, that is the ultimate goal, having 50+ appearances in men's football is a great thing to have on your CV and that's one thing that can definitely help me get back into the professional environment. If I can remain consistent this season, perform well then there is no reason why I can't push on.
Q: How have you found life under new boss Kevin Horlock, compared to life under David Wright and Steve Ball?
A: Its been good, I think Kevin has bonded with the squad quickly and made it he's own. A less vocal manager on the side line compared to Dave & Steve but I think it is better for the team as it makes us think for ourselves in games, especially when things are not going to plan.
Q: We face Soham Town Rangers on Saturday, you scored a penalty against them last season, what are you expecting from Saturday's game?
A: If I remember rightly Soham Town Rangers were a very hard working team & took a lot to break them down. So without a doubt, I know we'll be facing a very hard working team and organised team. If we keep the ball moving and be patient, I think there will be places to exploit.
Q: With promotion in mind, do you have any personal targets that you're looking to achieve before the end of the season?
A: Well one thing I have always said is I need to add goals to my game. I think all together last season I got 6. This season I'm hoping to get double figures in all competitions.
