Influential midfielder, Rhys Henry has spoken to the club's website ahead of Tuesday game against Norwich United.

Q1: Rhys, you're one of our most experienced players and you've played over 70 times for the club. How does this time at the club compare to your last spell here?

A1: Firstly I'm very proud and happy to have played over 70 games for the club. I think the difference this time round has been the close connection with Colchester United which has helped generate better players who are still trying to make it in the pro game. So it's been a huge benefit for them and us, building the clubs expectations and overall quality on the pitch.

Q2: You've played with a lot of different people throughout your career, who would you say is the best player you've ever played against?

A2: I was 18 years old playing for Southend United reserves against Spurs. That game Spurs played some fringe first team players who one of which was Adel Taarabt. He scored 4 goals in the first half and we ended up loosing 6-0. He is the best player I have ever played against, it was an experience which I'll never forget.

Q3: Towards the end of last season and the beginning of this campaign, you've scored a lot of goals for us. What's changed compared to the start of last season?

A3: When I came back to the club at the start of last season, I came here as a winger but David Wright and Liam Bailey saw me as a 10 or a central midfielder. Over the course of last season I learnt an awful lot with them both and Steve Ball about my role in the team and how I can be effective. In that time I managed to assist and score goals and have really enjoyed my new roles since.

Q4: Is there a goal that you've scored, that sticks out in your mind as your best goal?

A4: I can't remember any particular goals that stand out from last season, but I scored a goal this pre season which involved two 1-2's before I scored.

Q5: You also generate a lot of assists for your team mates, perhaps more than the rest of the squad. Who do you try and model your game on?

A5: I enjoy setting people up just as much as scoring myself, sometimes more if its a good move on route to goal! But I watch Barcelona each week and try to take things from how they play especially in the last third. Those players enjoy assisting each other just as much as scoring too and its something which I've always appreciated watching.

Q6: In the press and on social media, we have been tipped for promotion. Do you think that we have what it takes?

A6: I think we have a very strong chance of promotion this season yes, we finished last season very well and have got better since. We have some very talented players with some excellent role models such as Locky, Sam, Curtis and Gav who have also had a big influence on the team.

Q7: On Tuesday, we welcome Norwich United who have already beaten us this season. Are you expecting us to get revenge and take all three points?

A7: Norwich United have been in good form lately and we must respect that, they wouldn't be up there in the league by chance so its something that we won't take for granted and are aware of. We do have a job to do and get three points, but we must earn them first and progress from how we've been playing lately.
