Maldon & Tiptree are delighted to announce Kevin Horlock (pictured) as the football club’s new First Team Manager.

Kevin, aged 43 joins the club following a recent spell as manager of Ryman Division One South side, Chatham Town. Horlock has also been involved with Needham Market Reserves and their Academy, along with the Northern Ireland under 21’s.

As a player, Kevin appeared for several professional football clubs, including Manchester City from 1997 until 2003, appearing 206 times and scoring 39 goals in the process. His other clubs include Swindon Town, West Ham United, Ipswich Town, Doncaster Rovers, Scunthorpe United and Mansfield Town. Horlock also appeared for his National team, Northern Ireland on 32 occasions.

We can also confirm that Liam Bailey has left the club and has been replaced by Mark Levey as Kevin’s new Assistant Manager; Mark was the club’s Goalkeeping Coach last season. Everyone at Park Drive would like to thank Liam for his hard work whilst at the football club and we wish him well for the future.

Kevin has given us a short statement following this news:
"I am really excited to be appointed as manager of Maldon & Tiptee Football Club, it is a great opportunity for me as Steve Ball has left me a squad that is very, very strong.

The squad finished the season in in great form and I can't wait to get going and carrying on the good work Steve Ball started, in giving the football club everything to get The Jammers out of the Ryman Division One North."
