We are delighted to announce the signings of Joe Ellul & Rhys Henry.

After several recent departures, Kevin Horlock has worked tirelessly to bring in new faces to his squad at Park Drive.

Central defender, Joe Ellul (pictured) has re-joined The Jammers, having previously played under Terry Spillane in the 2012-13 season; Ellul featured in the play-off semi-final that year as a centre forward.

Joe joins the club from Conference South promotion chasers, Braintree Town were he has recently been announced as their Player Of The Month and has picked up several man of the match awards since he joined The Irons in October. Ellul has also featured for Glenn Tamplin's Billericay side this season, having been a mainstay in their defence until he departed them to join Braintree. Joe has previously played for East Thurrock in the Conference South, along with several other clubs including Redbridge.

On rejoining the club Ellul said, "Ever since I have spoke to Kev, I have been impressed. We have discussed the clubs ambitions and I have come here to give Ed, the supporters and the club what they deserve and that is to climb up the non-league pyramid. I can't wait to get started on Saturday against Soham".

Also rejoining the club is midfield maestro, Rhys Henry. Rhys, pictured below, was a real contributor to last year's achievements in reaching the play-off final, contributing with goals and lots of assists. However, he departed the club in the summer to join Bostik North rivals, AFC Sudbury before signing for Needham Market of the Bostik Premier.

In the 2016/17 season, Henry featured forty-two times for The Jammers and in the 2015/16 season he appeared forty-three times. Rhys brings a wealth of experience and quality which will be a real asset in helping Horlock's side in trying to achieve promotion. Henry's return means it will be his third spell at Park Drive.

Both players have been registered in time for this afternoon's fixture against Soham Town Rangers and will be available for selection.
