We are delighted to announce that ex Maldon striker, Femi Akinwande has re-joined the club from Colchester United.

Akinwande, aged 20, originally played for The Jammers under David Wright last season scoring twelve goals in only eighteen appearances.

Femi left Park Drive in November 2015 to join professional side, Colchester United on a full time contract, until the end of the 2015/16 season. Akinwande made an immediate impact for Colchester's U21's scoring on his debut and he has scored lots of goals for Colchester's development side since.

In his first season at Colchester, Akinwande was handed his first team debut, by then Manager, Kevin Keen on 12 March 2016. Femi started for The U's against now Championship side, Wigan Athletic playing forty-five minutes in a three-three draw.

Having been offered another contract at the end of last season, Femi has been playing for Bishop Stortford on loan this season, where he enjoyed a good time in front of goal.

Akinwande initially joins The Jammers on a twenty-eight day loan from Colchester United and is available for selection against Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday.
