As long as I keep my head down and keep grafting then the minutes will come

We are now half way through the season, how have you found life at Park Drive so far?
I’ve really enjoyed myself, everything about the way the club is run to the style of play is something I feel really fortunate to be a part of. This club has got great potential and can definitely go places.

Some of our supporters may not be aware of your footballing background, can you give me an overviewing of your footballing career to date?
I spent the majority of my youth from u14 to u18 at Colchester United. After this, I gained promotion to the conference south with Hemel Hempstead where I spent a further season before joining the Jammers.

On a personal note, you have found it a bit difficult to cement a regular starting place. You last started our latest away game against Tilbury, in which you were voted man of the match. What did you make of your performance?
I was really pleased with myself, considering the circumstances surrounding the game I thought I gave a solid performance. It is always going to be difficult in a team with such high quality, but as long as I take my opportunities when given to me then that is all I can do.

In the game against Tilbury, you played at right back. In previous games, throughout the season you have appeared in the centre of the park. What would you say your best position is?

I would say right back, as it was where I made my trade as a player, however I am more than happy to play wherever the manager sees fit, and will always try my best to put in a performance.

Following your superb performance against Tilbury, you were then on the bench for Saturday’s game against Soham Town Rangers. Why do you think that was?

Again, purely down to the strength and quality in this squad, it was disappointing obviously, but as long as I keep my head down and keep grafting then the minutes will come.

Conor, what did you make of Saturday’s 3-0 win against Soham?
The lads were immense, we dominated from the first whistle, and everyone was chuffed. It shows that if everyone is on the same page then not many teams will be able to live with us.

Some of people have said Saturday was our best performance of the season to date. Would you agree with this statement?

Personally, I still feel there is another level to us, but remembering games where the team had to really dig in like at Tilbury, or the dominant displays over Sudbury and Hornchurch, it would be difficult to say.

After our win against Soham, people have again started talking about a potential play-off place for our team. Is it too early to be talking about our end of season position?
I think everyone should be setting long term targets for where they want to be come the season ending. I think that play offs is well within our reach so long as everyone continues to work for each other, but it is important to take it game by game and let things fall into place.

Lastly, other than appearing in as many games as possible, have you set yourself any targets to achieve before the end of the season?

I want to bag myself a goal!
